We are looking for a skilled and licensed Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing layouts, installing electrical wiring, diagnosing system malfunctions, and repairing electrical infrastructure. You must be deeply committed to safety regulations, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a thorough understanding of local and national electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Upgrades
Execute electrical wiring: Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems, including conduits, cables, wires, tubing, and lighting fixtures.
Connect infrastructure: Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, distribution panels, and other components.
Read blueprints: Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and architectural layouts to determine the routing of electrical systems.
Install equipment: Mount and hook up electrical appliances, HVAC controls, security systems, and green energy equipment (like solar inverters) where required.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Diagnose faults: Use testing devices (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, clamp meters) to identify hazards, defects, and the root causes of system failures.
Repair & replace components: Fix or swap out faulty switches, outlets, breakers, relays, and older wiring to ensure system safety.
Preventative maintenance: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components regularly to identify safety risks or wear and tear before they cause failures.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to regulations: Comply strictly with National Electrical Codes (NEC), OSHA standards, and local building regulations.
Safety grounding: Ensure all electrical systems are properly grounded and contain appropriate safety failsafes (like GFCIs or circuit breakers).
Workplace safety: Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing live environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Licensing: High school diploma/GED plus a valid Electrician License (Journeyman or Master Electrician certification is highly preferred). Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical diploma in Electrical Technology.
Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of proven experience working as an electrician in a relevant field.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical theory, math, wiring layouts, and components.
Tool Proficiency: Mastery of hand and power tools specific to the trade (e.g., wire strippers, conduit benders, pipe threaders, diagnostic meters).
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders or scaffolding, work in tight/confined spaces, and distinguish colors (critical for color-coded wiring).
Key Competencies
Problem-Solving: Ability to isolate complex electrical issues logically and efficiently.
Manual Dexterity: High precision and steady hands for handling delicate or high-voltage wiring.
Time Management: Capability to work independently, manage service calls, and meet project deadlines.
