Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment in commercial buildings, malls, cinemas, retail outlets, and other facilities. The role ensures safe and uninterrupted electrical operations while complying with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
Inspect and maintain electrical panels, wiring, lighting, switches, and sockets.
Monitor power supply systems and electrical equipment.
Installation & Repair
Install electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, DB panels, and electrical accessories.
Repair faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and electrical equipment.
Assist in electrical modification and renovation works.
Troubleshooting
Identify and rectify electrical faults and power failures.
Use testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
Ensure quick resolution of electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety procedures and company policies.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations.
Maintain proper use of PPE and safety tools while working.
Documentation
Maintain maintenance records and service reports.
Report major electrical issues to the supervisor.
Keep inventory records of electrical materials and spare parts.
Qualifications
ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Valid Electrical License preferred.
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and maintenance procedures.
Required Skills
Electrical troubleshooting and fault finding.
Reading electrical drawings and diagrams.
Knowledge of LT panels, generators, UPS, and lighting systems.
Preventive maintenance skills.
Teamwork and communication skills.
