Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Electrician with 3 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, performing repairs, and ensuring the safe operation of electrical equipment. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, installation, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, minimizing downtime and ensuring systems are restored quickly.
Repair electrical components such as motors, circuits, and control panels as needed.
2. Installation & Setup:
Install electrical systems, machinery, and control panels according to specifications and safety standards.
Assist with setting up new production lines or upgrading existing electrical infrastructure.
Ensure all installations comply with local codes and company regulations.
3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to avoid unexpected breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
Address corrective maintenance issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities for tracking and compliance purposes.
4. Safety Compliance:
Follow all electrical safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct safety checks on electrical systems to prevent hazards or faults.
Adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance work to ensure worker safety.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, repairs, and installations performed.
Prepare and submit reports on completed tasks and any ongoing issues.
Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
6. Collaboration & Team Support:
Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve electrical issues affecting operations.
Mentor and support junior electricians or apprentices in developing their skills.
Contribute to team efforts by sharing technical knowledge and insights.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Suggest improvements for electrical systems and maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated on new electrical technologies and maintenance techniques to improve operational performance.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: ITI in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience as an Electrician in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and control system maintenance.
Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for documentation and team coordination.
