Construction Electrician

A Construction Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. They work with wiring, lighting, control systems, electrical panels, and equipment while ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Install electrical wiring, conduits, panels, outlets, switches, and lighting systems

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical diagrams

• Assemble and install electrical systems in new construction and renovation projects

• Test electrical systems and troubleshoot faults or malfunctions

• Ensure all installations comply with local electrical codes and safety regulations

• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely

• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and site supervisors

• Perform maintenance and repair work as required

• Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment

• Maintain records of work completed and materials used

Required Skills:-

• Knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices

• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of electrical safety standards

• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces

Qualifications:-

• High school diploma or equivalent

• ITI/Diploma in Electrician trade or relevant technical certification

• Apprenticeship or prior construction electrical experience preferred

• Valid electrician license/certification (if required locally)

Work Environment:-

• Construction sites, commercial buildings, factories, and residential projects

• May involve outdoor work, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working in varying weather conditions

• Typically full-time with possible overtime during project deadlines
