Job Profile: Social Media Manager.
Role Summary
The Social Media Senior Executive will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing digital communication strategies for political leaders/organizations. The role requires strong political awareness, content leadership, and the ability to shape public opinion through effective use of social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with political ideology, party agenda, and leadership vision
Ø Create, review, and approve political content including posts, reels, videos, graphics, captions, and hashtags
Ø Handle official social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, etc.)
Ø Monitor political trends, public sentiment, opposition narratives, and breaking political news
Ø Coordinate with content creators, designers, video editors, and ground teams
Ø Manage online reputation and respond to public queries, comments, and sensitive political issues
Ø Plan and execute digital campaigns during elections, rallies, policy launches, and public events
Ø Analyze social media performance and submit regular reports with insights and recommendations
Ø Ensure content complies with election code of conduct and platform policies
Ø Guide junior executives and interns in political communication best practices
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Indian politics, governance, public policy, and election processes
Excellent written communication skills (English, Hindi, Marathi – preferred)
Ability to handle sensitive political narratives and crisis communication
Experience with political campaigning or public affairs communication
Creative thinking with data-driven decision making
Leadership and team-management skills
Knowledge of social media analytics tools and trend analysis
Educational Qualification
Graduate/Post-Graduate in Political Science, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
Experience
Minimum 3–6 years’ experience in social media management
Prior experience in political campaigns, political consulting firms, media houses, or public offices preferred
