Job Title - SEO Specialist

Department - Digital Marketing

Reports To -Performance Marketing Manager

Job Purpose

The SEO Specialist is responsible for improving the organic visibility, search engine rankings, and website traffic of client websites through strategic SEO planning and execution. The role involves keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO audits, performance monitoring, and continuous optimization to achieve measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.

• Plan and implement on-page SEO strategies, including optimization of meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, and content.

• Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexing, website speed, mobile usability, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.

• Develop and execute effective off-page SEO strategies, including quality link-building and local SEO activities.

• Monitor website performance using SEO tools and prepare regular reports on rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and campaign performance.

• Collaborate with content writers, web developers, designers, and account managers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all projects.

• Optimize existing website content and recommend new content opportunities based on keyword research and search intent.

• Manage Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, and other SEO tools to monitor website health and performance.

• Stay updated with the latest search engine algorithms, SEO trends, and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes accordingly.

• Ensure all SEO activities comply with search engine guidelines and contribute to achieving client KPIs and business objectives.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.

• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.

• Good knowledge of keyword research, link-building strategies, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, WordPress, and website architecture.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Educational Qualification

• SEO certifications from Google or reputed digital marketing platforms will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization within a digital marketing agency or similar environment.
