• Delivery: Transporting packages, food, or other goods to designated locations in a timely and safe manner.

• Loading and unloading: Carefully loading items into a delivery vehicle and unloading them at the customer's location.

• Route planning: Planning and optimizing delivery routes to ensure efficiency and timeliness, sometimes using a handheld device.

• Customer service: Interacting with customers professionally, answering questions, and resolving any issues that arise during delivery.

• Documentation: Completing delivery logs, getting signatures from recipients, and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

• Payment handling: Collecting cash or other payments from customers when required and handling the cash accurately. 

Vehicle and safety

• Vehicle maintenance: Performing basic maintenance on the delivery vehicle and ensuring it is clean and in good condition.

• Safety adherence: Following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while driving.

• Record keeping: Reporting any road accidents or traffic disruptions to a supervisor. 

Other responsibilities

• Communication: Maintaining communication with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
