Experience: 2–3 Years

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Industry: Modular Furniture / Furniture Manufacturing / Interior Projects
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification

Technical drawing interpretation: AutoCAD/SolidWorks, dimensions, tolerances, sections, assemblies, and basic modifications.

Sheet-metal knowledge: laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, tube bending, welding, grinding, assembly, and fabrication sequence.

Material knowledge: mild/carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, sheet thickness/gauge, material grades, and applications.

Structural calculations: basic load capacity, bending/deflection concepts, factor of safety, material weight, tube/pipe selection, and stability.

BOM & costing: converting drawings into material quantities, estimating fabrication costs, wastage, hardware, finishing, labour, and margins.

Finishing: powder coating, anodizing, surface preparation, corrosion considerations, and finish specifications.

ERP/MRP: BOM creation, item codes, routings, production orders, inventory checks, and revision control.

Quality/compliance: checking specifications, certifications, tolerances, inspection requirements, and customer-specific standards.

Technical sales communication: explaining engineering choices in simple commercial terms to salespeople, distributors, architects, and B2B customers.

Problem solving: handling dimensional errors, manufacturing feasibility issues, field complaints, installation problems, and product modifications.

Precision-Driven: Exceptional attention to detail, as an incorrect dimension code or metric gauge entry could stall the entire production line.
