Position Details

Job Title: Executive – Sales / Customer Service / Key Account

Location: Chennai

Department: Sales & Customer Service

Reporting To: Head – Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Experience: 1–3 Years

Qualification: B.E. Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)

Industry Preference: Fasteners / Engineering Components / Industrial Distribution preferred

Job Summary

The Executive – Sales / Customer Service will manage customer enquiries, quotations, order processing, delivery follow-up and key account coordination to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle customer enquiries, RFQs and purchase orders.

- Prepare and submit quotations within agreed timelines.

- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores and Quality for order execution.

- Track customer orders from receipt to dispatch.

- Provide regular delivery updates to customers.

- Resolve customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.

- Develop relationships with key accounts and identify repeat business opportunities.

- Maintain accurate customer records and update ERP/CRM.

- Support sales visits and new business development.

- Prepare weekly and monthly sales/customer service reports.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Customer relationship management

- Negotiation and coordination skills

- MS Excel and ERP knowledge

- Ability to read basic engineering drawings is an advantage

- Strong planning and problem-solving ability
