Job Title: Academic Counsellor (Overseas MBBS)

Job Summary:

The academic counsellor provides guidance and support to students to help them achieve their educational goals. This role involves academic advising, career planning, and personal development support, ensuring students remain on track for successful admission into overseas MBBS programs and are equipped with the right resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents about overseas MBBS education options based on eligibility, preferences, and career goals.

• Provide accurate information about medical universities abroad, including admission criteria, fee structures, living expenses, and recognition by medical councils

• Guide students through the complete admission lifecycle, including university shortlisting, application preparation, document verification, and submission.

• Assist students with exam-related guidance (e.g., NEET eligibility, English proficiency requirements, if applicable).

• Support students with visa application procedures, interview preparation, and travel arrangements.

• Maintain accurate student records and ensure regular follow-ups throughout the admission process.

Qualifications & Skills Required: Education:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline

• Preferred: Degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or related fields

Experience:

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in academic counselling, study abroad consulting, student advisory, or customer service

• Candidates with relevant experience in overseas education (especially MBBS) will be preferred

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Basic knowledge of CRM tools (Customer Relationship Management software)

• Strong interpersonal and counselling skills

• Ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents

• Team player with strong collaboration skills

• Ability to manage multiple student cases efficiently and maintain accurate records
