Role: HSEQ Executive
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Monitor and implement occupational health and safety procedures across central and on-site kitchens.
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
Enforce the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by staff.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and recommend preventive/corrective actions.
Lead regular health & safety training sessions and emergency drills.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Ensure all food handling processes adhere to FSSAI standards and HACCP principles.
Implement hygiene protocols for kitchen staff and ensure sanitation of kitchen spaces and equipment.
Monitor temperature logs, food storage practices, and contamination risks.
Environmental Compliance
Oversee waste segregation, composting, and recycling procedures aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding emissions, water usage, and waste management.
Support initiatives like rainwater harvesting, vermicomposting, and green kitchen certifications.
Quality Assurance
Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and food production standards.
Work closely with procurement to ensure suppliers follow quality and sustainability standards.
Evaluate customer feedback and implement quality improvement measures where needed.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date records of inspections, licenses, and incident reports.
Prepare and submit regular compliance and audit reports to management.
Assist in preparing for external audits and certifications (e.g., ISO, FSSAI audits).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
Certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or NEBOSH are a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Proficient in using safety audit tools, MS Excel/Sheets for reporting.
Familiarity with data-driven quality management systems (QMS).
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Excellent communication and training delivery capabilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally with kitchen staff, procurement, logistics, and admin teams.
Proactive, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
