Prepare ingredients, assist with mise-en-place, and cook dishes as instructed by the Indian Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Execute basic and intermediate Indian food preparation (gravies, tandoor support, curries, snacks, breads, etc.).
Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards for all dishes.
Ensure hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times.
Assist in maintaining stock levels, proper storage, and minimizing waste.
Keep the workstation clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
Support kitchen operations during events, festivals, and special cultural programs.
Coordinate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
2–4 years of experience as a Commi in an Indian kitchen (hot kitchen, tandoor, or curry section experience preferred).
Strong basic skills in Indian cuisine (cutting, prep, masala handling, cooking techniques).
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with senior chefs.
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
Physically fit and able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
Willingness to learn, improve skills, and adapt to a multicultural team setting.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during cultural events.
