We are looking for a skilled Continental Chef (Commis) to join our culinary team at Gopalan. The role involves preparing and presenting high-quality continental dishes while maintaining kitchen hygiene, consistency, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking, disciplined, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Prepare and cook continental cuisine
Support the Chef de Partie / Head Chef in day-to-day operations
Follow standard recipes and ensure food quality & presentation
Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and storage of ingredients
Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness & safety standards
Assist in menu planning & new dish development when required
Follow portion control and minimize wastage
Work closely with the service team for smooth operations
Ensure compliance with FSSAI & food safety standards
2 to 6+ years of experience as Continental Commis / Assistant Cook
Experience in hotels, cafés, restaurants, or cloud kitchens preferred
Strong knowledge of continental cooking basics
Ability to work shifts and weekends
Good communication & teamwork skills
Culinary / Hotel Management certification preferred (not mandatory)
