The ideal candidate will have expertise in authentic Chinese cuisine, strong knowledge of regional Chinese dishes, and the ability to prepare high-quality meals that delight our guests. The Chinese Chef will be responsible for menu creation, food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring consistent taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese dishes with a focus on taste, quality, and presentation.

• Develop and innovate Chinese menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients.

• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques.

• Ensure all dishes are prepared in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

• Manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and reduce food wastage.

• Collaborate with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to plan menus and specials.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Chinese kitchen section.

• Train and mentor kitchen staff in Chinese culinary skills and safety practices.

• Stay updated with culinary trends and customer preferences in Chinese cuisine.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel.

• Strong knowledge of various Chinese cooking styles (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc.).

• Expertise in wok cooking, steaming, roasting, and traditional Chinese culinary methods.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.

• Culinary degree or professional training in Chinese cuisine is preferred.
