About the Role

Petstreet Resort is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Chef who can prepare fresh, hygienic meals for dogs and humans at our pet resort.
This is not a typical hotel chef job — it involves daily meal prep for dogs, cooking for events, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and coordinating with the caretaker & resort team.

This role is perfect for someone who:

Key Responsibilities

1. Dog Meal Preparation

• Prepare fresh daily meals such as:

  • Boiled chicken, rice, eggs

  • Vegetables, broths, cottage cheese

  • Customized meals for dogs with allergies or instructions

• Follow portion sizes & diet charts given by pet parents.

• Maintain high hygiene while cooking pet food.

2. Human Food (Café Support)

• Prepare simple café items for pet parents during picnics & stays such as:

  • Sandwiches, pasta, fries

  • Beverages like tea, coffee, smoothies

• Support outdoor picnics and small resort events.

3. Inventory & Kitchen Management

• Track raw materials: chicken, rice, vegetables, oil, spices, consumables.

• Inform management of low stock.

• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen at all times.

• Follow hygiene rules in accordance with Petstreet’s employee policy.

4. Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Ensure utensils, cooking areas & storage are sanitized daily.

• Comply with all cleaning procedures for dog-safe and human-safe food preparation.

• Maintain personal hygiene, uniform cleanliness, and neat appearance.

5. Collaboration & Operational Support

• Coordinate with caretaker & resort team for meal timings.

• Assist during peak check-in/check-out times.

• Support small resort activities, events, and high-traffic weekends.

Requirements

Skills

• Experience in basic cooking (professional or home cooking).

• Ability to follow recipes & dietary instructions.

• Good time management.

• Understanding of hygiene & cleanliness standards.

Behavioural Requirements

• Polite, honest, disciplined, and responsible.

• Must follow attendance, leave, and conduct policy strictly.

• No alcohol, smoking, or misconduct during duty hours.

Working Hours

• Full-time job with flexible shift timing based on resort occupancy.

• Must be available on weekends, holidays, and festive periods.
