Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and skilled Bakery & Pastry Commis Chef to join our culinary team at LUPA. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bakery and pastry techniques, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and presenting breads, pastries, desserts, and confectionery items.
Support senior pastry chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation of bakery & pastry products.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Handle mise-en-place preparation and contribute to bakery setup before service.
Participate in menu development and suggest creative ideas for bakery and pastry innovations.
Operate and maintain bakery equipment efficiently and safely.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Bakery & Confectionery, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in bakery and pastry.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and as part of a team.
