Job Title: Course Design Associate (SME) – Statistics & LLMs
Position Overview
We are looking for a Course Design Associate (Subject Matter Expert) to contribute to the development of a high-impact online course at the intersection of Statistics and Large Language Models (LLMs).
This role is primarily intellectual and content-focused, involving reviewing, refining, and enhancing course material to ensure conceptual clarity, strong pedagogical flow, and relevance for a non-specialist audience. You will also support video content refinement and collaborate closely with the production team.
Key Responsibilities
Course Content & Pedagogy
Review scripts, slide decks, and exercises for clarity, accuracy, and learning flow
Provide structured feedback on what is clear, confusing, or missing
Enhance content using examples, analogies, and case-based insights
Identify and fix gaps in Excel and Python-based exercises
Suggest improvements to make complex statistical concepts easy to understand
Footage Review & Content Direction
Review lecture recordings with a content-first perspective
Identify areas where explanations can be improved or simplified
Provide timestamped feedback for edits based on learning objectives
Suggest visual aids (slides, animations, screen recordings) to improve understanding
Collaborate with editing teams to refine final output
Production Coordination
Track progress across scripts, recordings, and edits
Coordinate with production teams for visuals, graphics, and edits
Review captions for technical accuracy
Ensure timely delivery across all course modules
Required Qualifications
10–12 years of experience in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, or related field
Strong understanding of:
Descriptive statistics
Probability
Distributions
Hypothesis testing
Regression
Hands-on experience with:
Python (for statistical analysis)
Excel (data handling and exercises)
Ability to identify conceptual gaps and simplify complex ideas
Strong communication and content review skills
Self-driven and detail-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, tutor, or instructor
Exposure to online learning / MOOCs / course development
Familiarity with LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT) and their limitations
Experience reviewing or creating educational content
Basic experience with screen recording or content tools
Working Arrangement
Project-based engagement (5 months)
Commitment: 20–25 hours per week
Onsite / hybrid flexibility depending on project stage
