Job Overview

Chandigarh University Media House is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented News Writer to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of language, a passion for journalism, and the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and timely news content across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit high-quality news articles, reports, and feature stories

• Cover campus events, academic developments, and relevant regional/national news

• Conduct interviews and gather information from credible sources

• Ensure all content is fact-checked, accurate, and adheres to journalistic ethics

• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia teams

• Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously

• Optimize content for digital platforms (basic SEO knowledge preferred)

• Stay updated with current affairs and trending topics

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Excellent command of English (knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi is a plus)

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms

• Strong research and analytical skills

• Creative thinking with attention to detail
