Editorial Assistant

Manuscript Management

Manage the full lifecycle of submissions through the online editorial management system (e.g., ScholarOne, Editorial Manager, Open Journal Systems).

Conduct initial checks for completeness, formatting, ethical compliance, and adherence to journal guidelines.

Coordinate peer review by inviting reviewers, sending reminders, and tracking deadlines.

Maintain accurate records of manuscripts, decisions, and editorial activity.

Editorial Support

Assist editors with decision letters, reviewer communication, and manuscript transfers.

Ensure all open access publishing requirements (e.g., CC BY licenses, APC documentation) are met before publication.

Author and Reviewer Support

Provide clear and timely support to authors and reviewers regarding submission processes, system navigation, and journal policies.

Help resolve technical issues and escalate problems when necessary.

Maintain positive, professional communication that fosters strong relationships with the research community.

Quality, Policy & Compliance

Verify compliance with ethical standards (COPE guidelines), conflict-of-interest disclosures, funding statements, and data availability requirements.

Ensure manuscripts meet open access mandates from funders and institutions.

Uphold journal style, formatting, and scientific integrity.

Educational Qualification: Anyone from Science background preferred
