Responsibilities:
● Edit, proofread, and revise content produced by writers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and
adherence to style guidelines.
● Reviewand refine written material for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency.
● Verify facts, sources, and citations to ensure accuracy and credibility of content.
● Collaborate closely with writers, content managers, and other team members to improve
content quality and delivery.
● Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and
● errors
● Develop and maintain a consistent tone, style, and voice across all content pieces.
● Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their writing skills and
meet editorial standards.
● Ensure that content aligns with the target audience's preferences and needs.
● Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content editing and digital
publishing.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
● Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a content editor, preferably in a digital
publishing environment.
● Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
● Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies.
● Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and other relevant editing
tools.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
● A portfolio of edited content showcasing your editorial skills (optional but highly
advantageous)
