Job Title: Cashier Associate

Job Overview:

As a Cashier Associate at TATA Star Bazaar, you will be the face of the store, responsible for managing customer transactions efficiently and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will handle payments, assist customers, and maintain the checkout area in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Management:

  • Operate POS systems and process cash, card, and digital payments.

  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.

  • Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.

• Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with queries.

  • Resolve customer complaints professionally.

  • Promote loyalty programs and current offers.

• Store Support:

  • Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining product displays.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout counters.

  • Report low inventory or issues to supervisors.

• Compliance & Safety:

  • Follow all safety, security, and cash handling protocols.

  • Adhere to company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Minimum: 10th/12th pass or equivalent.

• Experience:

  • Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred.

  • Freshers with good communication skills are welcome.

• Skills:

  • Basic math and computer literacy.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
