Cashier

We are looking for a Cashier to join our team at Society Stores Private Limited to manage day-to-day billing operations and customer transactions at the counter. Key Responsibilities:

1.      Operate POS system — scan items, check prices, count SKUs, process payments

2.      Handle cash, card, UPI, wallet, loyalty point payments accurately

3.      Greet customers warmly when they arrive at checkout — friendly, efficient service

4.      Wish them a great day when they leave the checkout counter – Have a great day!

5.      Offer loyalty program enrolment to every customer

6.      Apply discount coupons and loyalty points correctly

7.      Verify prices if customer questions — cross-check with shelf tags

8.      Handle returns and exchanges as per company policy

9.      Daily cash drawer reconciliation — match POS to physical cash

10.   Report POS errors, system issues, or discrepancies to Supervisor immediately

11.   Maintain billing area cleanliness and organization

12.   Support packing and bagging of customer purchases

13.   Handle customer queries about products, prices, promotions politely

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is completion of Senior Secondary Education (SSC /10th Pass) Individuals with experience can also apply. Good calculation skills, basic computer knowledge and strong communication abilities are essential for this role.
