Cash Handling

• Receive cash, card, UPI and other approved payment methods from customers.

• Ensure accurate counting and handling of cash.

• Maintain sufficient change at the cash counter.

• Verify all cash received and payments processed during the shift.

• Avoid keeping personal cash or unauthorized funds in the cash drawer.

2. Billing and POS Operations

• Generate accurate bills for all customer purchases.

• Ensure correct product quantity, price and applicable discounts are entered.

• Operate the POS/billing system properly.

• Process cancellations, returns and refunds only as per company policy and with proper authorization.

• Ensure no sale is made without generating a proper bill.

3. Cash Reconciliation

• Count the cash at the beginning and end of the shift.

• Reconcile physical cash with the POS system and sales report.

• Report any cash shortage or excess immediately to the Outlet Supervisor/Manager.

• Prepare and submit the daily cash closing report.

4. Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers politely.

• Handle customer queries related to billing and payments.

• Provide correct change and receipts to customers.

• Maintain professional behaviour at all times.

5. Product and Billing Accuracy

• Verify product codes, prices and quantities before completing the transaction.

• Ensure discounts, offers and promotions are applied only as authorized.

• Inform the Supervisor about any billing or pricing discrepancies.

6. Compliance and Internal Controls

• Follow all company policies and SOPs related to cash handling.

• Never misuse company cash or customer payments.

• Do not lend, borrow or adjust cash from the cash counter without authorization.

• Maintain confidentiality of sales and financial information.

• Follow all grooming, hygiene and uniform requirements.

7. Shift Handover

• Properly hand over cash, receipts, reports and other relevant documents to the authorized person.

• Ensure the cash counter is properly closed and secured after the shift.

• Sign the required cash handover and reconciliation records.

8. Additional Responsibilities

• Support the outlet team during peak business hours, wherever required.

• Maintain cleanliness and discipline around the cash counter.

• Report suspicious transactions, counterfeit currency or any irregularity immediately.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Outlet Supervisor or Management.
