Role and responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

1. Billing and Invoice Processing

• Generate Invoices: Create accurate bills for gold, diamond, and silver purchases using retail Point-of-Sale (POS) software.

• Calculate Costs: Verify that product details, gross/net weight, stone deductions, making charges, taxes (GST), and discounts are calculated correctly.

• Compliance: Ensure all billing strictly adheres to government tax laws and hallmark standards.

2. Payment Handling and Reconciliation

• Process Transactions: Handle a variety of payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, bank transfers, and financing EMIs.

• Old Gold Exchange: Accurately calculate the value of exchanged or sold old gold, processing deductions as per showroom policy.

• Daily Reconciliation: Perform opening and closing cash counts, balance the register, and prepare end-of-day sales reports for the management or accounts team.

3. Customer Service

• Greeting and Assisting: Greet customers warmly and coordinate smoothly with sales staff to ensure a seamless and efficient checkout experience.

• Explain Store Schemes: Provide information to customers regarding in-house savings schemes, exchange policies, and warranties.

4. Security and Inventory Control

• Verify Goods: Cross-check the item's barcode, weight, and purity tags before finalizing the billing.

• High-Value Protocols: Execute strict documentation and identification protocols for high-value purchases (e.g., collecting PAN card details for large cash transactions).

• Monitor Discrepancies: Report any suspicious activities, counterfeit currency, or inventory discrepancies to the store management immediately
