Experience: 1–3 Years (F&B / Retail / QSR preferred)

Job Summary:

The Cashier will be responsible for handling billing operations, customer transactions, cash management, and providing excellent customer service at Gopalan Cinemas and Box Bites outlets. The role requires accuracy, speed, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Cash Management

• Handle billing at POS counters for food, beverages, and tickets (where applicable).

• Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain daily cash register reports.

• Process payments through cash, UPI, cards, and other digital modes.

• Maintain cash drawer balance and submit daily closing reports.

• Ensure no discrepancies in cash or billing entries.

Customer Service

• Greet customers and ensure a smooth billing experience.

• Resolve basic customer queries related to pricing, items, or offers.

• Maintain polite and professional communication at all times.

Operational Support

• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure order flow.

• Keep the billing area clean, organized, and audit-ready.

• Follow safety, hygiene, and cinema/café operational guidelines.

• Assist in stock updates at the counter (cups, straws, carry bags, etc.).

Compliance & Policies

• Follow company SOPs for billing, refund, and replacement rules.

• Maintain accuracy in system entries and reduce operational errors.

• Ensure data confidentiality and adhere to audit requirements.

Skills Required:

• Basic computer knowledge & POS system handling.

• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Honesty, punctuality, and ability to work in shifts.
