Restaurant Cashier
Job Summary:
A Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, processing orders, and providing friendly and efficient service at the point of sale. They play a key role in ensuring a smooth customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and take food and beverage orders
Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required
Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter
Answer customer queries regarding menu items and pricing
Coordinate with kitchen staff for order preparation
Handle customer complaints politely and escalate if needed
Balance cash register and report discrepancies
Follow company policies and hygiene standards
Required Skills:
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems
