Job Purpose: The job purpose of a purchase manager is to ensure uninterrupted, cost-effective supply of materials and services for packaging and manufacturing by owning the end-to-end procurement cycle, vendor selection, negotiation, ordering, and delivery tracking all aligned to production plans, inventory targets, quality standards, and compliance. The role builds resilient supplier relationships, maintains accurate records and market intelligence, and collaborates with production, finance, and warehouse to balance cost, quality, and lead time while proactively mitigating risks and identifying savings opportunities.
Principal Responsibilities
1.Procurement execution for production requirements.
2.Supplier sourcing and qualification of various required aspects.
3.Negotiating and contracting with existing and new vendors.
4.Inventory alignment and planning for required stocks.
5.Cross functional coordination with multiple teams to ensure smooth functioning.
6.Ensure quality and on-time vendor delivery performance.
7.Cost management and saving on purchase.
8.Ensure Compliance and Governance for necessary Government requirements.
9.Data system management and reporting.
10.Supplier relationship management.
11.Risk management and continuity of supply.
12.Continuous improvement in purchase procurement and cycle.
