Job Description – Senior Architect

Position: Senior Architect

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 4–7 years preferred

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of projects. The candidate should be comfortable handling both design and technical aspects and should be able to coordinate effectively with the team and consultants.

About the Company

DEVISE is a Jaipur-based architecture and interior design firm working on hospitality, resort, residential, commercial, and interior design projects. We are looking for a responsible and experienced Senior Architect who can lead projects from design development to execution drawings and site coordination.

Role Overview

The Senior Architect will be responsible for handling architectural design, planning, technical drawings, consultant coordination, client communication, and project execution support. The candidate should have strong design understanding, technical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience in managing a team of architects and interns.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects from concept stage to working drawings and execution.

Prepare and review architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and GFC drawings.

Coordinate with structural, MEP, HVAC, landscape, and other consultants.

Manage junior architects, interns, and draftsmen for timely drawing delivery.

Check drawings for accuracy, technical correctness, dimensions, and site feasibility.

Attend client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and site review discussions.

Develop design presentations, mood boards, material concepts, and execution details.

Ensure drawings are prepared as per project requirements, applicable standards, and timelines.

Resolve design and technical issues during construction/site execution.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for design intent, materials, samples, and execution quality.

Maintain proper documentation, drawing issue records, revisions, and project files.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, and working drawings.

Good understanding of building construction, materials, finishes, and site execution.

Ability to handle hospitality, resort, residential, and commercial projects.

Good coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Leadership qualities to guide junior team members.

Strong sense of design, proportion, space planning, and presentation.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Software Skills

AutoCAD – mandatory

Photoshop – preferred

MS Office / Google Workspace – preferred

Revit knowledge will be an added advantage

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, B.Arch, from a recognized institute.

COA registration will be preferred.
