Mechanical draughtsman

DSI ROBOTICS is looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer / Team Leader to lead our design team and drive product development using SOLIDWORKS. You will own 2D/3D design, validation, and BOM creation while coordinating closely with production, quality, and assembly teams.

Key Responsibilities: -

·       Create and maintain 2D and 3D models using SOLIDWORKS.

·       Prepare design documentation, perform validation, and create BOMs.

·       Lead design reviews and guide junior engineers; provide technical direction.

·       Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Assembly to ensure manufacturability.

·       Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) in designs.

·       Select materials and recommend machining/fabrication approaches.

Required Skills & Qualifications: -

·       5+ years of hands-on experience in SOLIDWORKS design.

·       Strong experience with design documentation, validation, and BOM creation.

·       Good working knowledge of GD&T.

·       Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and material selection.

·       Leadership experience or team coordination skills.

·       Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent.

CAD Tools: -

·       Essential: SOLIDWORKS plus experience with any CAM software.

·       Optional: AutoCAD / DraftSight.
