Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Interior Draftsman to join our design team. This role supports the interior design department by producing accurate drawings and documentation, assisting in the development of interior layouts, and learning technical aspects of design execution. Ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 1–2 years of experience, this position is an excellent opportunity to grow within the interior design industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing detailed interior layout drawings, plans, elevations, and sections. • Support senior designers and architects by converting design concepts and sketches into CAD drawings.

• Ensure drawings are accurate, consistent, and meet design and company standards. • Help with documentation for client presentations, municipal approvals, and construction.

• Maintain drawing files and project documentation in an organized and up-to-date manner.

• Modify drawings based on feedback from senior team members or consultants.

• Assist in coordinating with vendors and contractors when needed.

• Participate in occasional site visits to take measurements or assist with as-built drawings.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Drafting.

• 1 to 2.5 years of experience in interior drafting or architectural drafting.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or other design tools is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of interior finishes, materials, and furniture layouts.

• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work under the supervision of senior staff and take direction well.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or academic project experience in interior design or drafting.

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) for presentations.

• Understanding of basic building codes and interior design standards.
