For more information, please visit our website Roles and Responsibilities Design Leadership & Project Delivery Translate the Design Director’s creative vision into clear, actionable design strategies and guide teams from concept through execution Oversee all phases of design projects, including concept development, space planning, material selection, documentation, procurement support, and installation Ensure design solutions meet functional, aesthetic, regulatory, and brand requirements Review and approve design packages, specifications, drawings, and presentations Maintain design intent throughout procurement, construction, and project opening Stay current with industry trends, materials, technologies, and best practices Team Leadership & People Management Lead, mentor, and manage a team of interior designers and junior staff Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching, and professional development planning Empower team members to proactively identify, flag, and resolve design and project issues Build a strong design culture (“Build the Guild”) that encourages collaboration, accountability, and excellence Client & Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with clients to understand needs, goals, budgets, and timelines Partner closely with architects, project managers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams Ensure design solutions are clearly communicated to the broader design and construction teams for accurate execution Support business development efforts, including proposals, pitches, and client presentations Project & Operational Management Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple projects Ensure quality control and consistency across all design deliverables Participate in site visits to support technical execution and resolve on-site challenges Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high design standards Education and Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field 8–10+ years of professional interior design experience, including leadership or people management experience Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-driven, high-quality, and technically sound work Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Solid understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards Proven track record of delivering outstanding design on high-profile projects Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Strong oral, written, and graphic communication skills Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, external consultants, clients, and partners Equal Opportunity Employer WeWork India is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
