UNIDOR is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer with skills in 3D designing, furniture planning, and material selection. The role includes developing practical furniture designs, conducting site surveys, and coordinating with production and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design customised office furniture, including workstations, desks, storage units, meeting tables, and reception counters.
Create 3D models, renders, layouts, and detailed working drawings.
Select suitable materials, finishes, fittings, and hardware based on project requirements and budget.
Conduct site visits to take measurements, survey spaces, and understand client requirements.
Prepare accurate drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and production teams to ensure designs are executed correctly.
Visit project sites to review installation progress, check quality, and resolve design-related issues.
Ensure designs balance aesthetics, comfort, durability, and functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar tools.
Knowledge of furniture construction and materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, wood, metal, and upholstery.
Understanding of furniture hardware, joinery, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to take accurate site measurements and prepare technical drawings.
Knowledge of ergonomics and space planning.
Strong communication, coordination, and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel for site surveys and installation reviews.
Diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
