Job Summary

We are looking for a Design Drafter with relevant experience in the furniture industry who can understand furniture designs and convert them into accurate technical drawings. The candidate should have strong AutoCAD skills and a good understanding of furniture dimensions, materials, construction methods, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret furniture design drawings, layouts, sketches, and specifications.

• Prepare detailed 2D furniture drawings using AutoCAD.

• Develop drawings based on site measurements, client requirements, and design inputs.

• Prepare accurate dimensions, elevations, sections, and detailed furniture drawings.

• Coordinate with the production and manufacturing team to ensure drawings are practical and production-ready.

• Modify and revise drawings based on client, designer, or production feedback.

• Ensure accuracy, proper scale, dimensions, and technical detailing in all drawings.

• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

• Support the design and production teams in resolving drawing-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Certification in Drafting, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in furniture drafting/design.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD – Mandatory.

• Ability to read and understand furniture drawings and technical specifications.

• Good knowledge of furniture dimensions, materials, fittings, and construction methods.

• Understanding of modular, customized, or interior furniture drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in modular furniture, custom furniture, residential furniture, commercial furniture, or interior furniture projects.

• Candidates who have worked closely with production/carpentry/manufacturing teams will be preferred.

• Ability to convert design concepts/site measurements into production-ready drawings.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawings/projects within deadlines.

Key Requirement

Furniture Industry Experience + AutoCAD expertise is mandatory.
