Civil draughtsman

Job Title: Civil Draftsman (AutoCAD)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Civil Draftsman who is proficient in AutoCAD and has experience preparing detailed drawings related to waterproofing systems, flooring layouts, and site measurements. The candidate will support the engineering and project team by creating accurate technical drawings and ensuring designs match site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD.

• Develop drawings for waterproofing systems, flooring plans, and construction details.

• Take site measurements and convert them into accurate drawings.

• Modify drawings based on site conditions and engineer/client feedback.

• Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and site teams.

• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain drawing records.

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards.

• Assist in quantity take-offs and measurement calculations when required.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).

• Knowledge of waterproofing detailing and flooring systems.

• Ability to take accurate site measurements.

• Understanding of basic civil construction drawings.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Draftsman Civil or related field.

• Certification or training in AutoCAD preferred.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman or similar role.

• Experience working on waterproofing, flooring layouts, and measurement drawings preferred.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Knowledge of BOQ preparation.

• Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.

• Experience working with site engineers and contractors.
