Job Description:

Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering
Job Summary
Prepare and modify structural/steel drawings using AutoCAD for fabrication and erection projects. Support senior engineers with drafting, detailing, and site coordination.
### Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Detailing: Create GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for steel structures in AutoCAD
- Modifications: Revise drawings as per engineer markups, site changes, and client comments
- BOQ Support: Extract material quantities from drawings - beams, columns, plates, bolts for estimation
- Standards: Follow IS codes, company drafting standards, and layering conventions
- Coordination: Work with design engineers, fabrication shop, and site team to resolve drawing queries
- Documentation: Maintain drawing register, revision logs, and issue drawings to concerned teams
- Site Support: Prepare as-built drawings post erection. Occasional site visits for measurement/clarification
### Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Experience: 1 year in drafting, preferably steel structures/PEB/infrastructure
- Software: AutoCAD 2D mandatory. Knowledge of Tekla Structures/Advance Steel is a plus
### Key Skills for Steel Sector
- Ability to read structural drawings and connection details
- Understanding of steel sections - ISMB, ISMC, ISA, plates, chequered plate
- Basic knowledge of IS 800, IS 808 for section properties
- Good with dimensioning, annotations, and scaling
- Attention to detail - zero tolerance for dimensional errors
AutoCAD speed and steel detailing exposure Coordination with design, fabrication, and projects teams. Site visits as required.TA & DA will be only provided during site visits.
