We are seeking a skilled SolidWorks Sheet Metal Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring designs meet functional, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
Design and develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication and assembly.
Apply sheet metal design principles, including bend allowances, tolerances, and material selection.
Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Perform design revisions based on feedback and engineering changes.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company standards.
Proficiency in SolidWorks with a focus on Sheet Metal module.
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, etc.).
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Ability to create BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with industry standards for sheet metal design.
Exposure to manufacturing environments and cost optimization techniques.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
