An AutoCAD Designer creates precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, and blueprints for engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects using AutoCAD software. They translate specifications and sketches into actionable plans, collaborate with technical teams, ensure compliance with standards, and revise designs based on feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design: Generate detailed, accurate 2D/3D layouts, assembly diagrams, and working drawings from rough sketches, specifications, or verbal instructions.
Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to finalize design specifications.
Revision & Accuracy: Review designs for errors, inconsistencies, or structural deficiencies; modify drawings based on feedback.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Documentation: Maintain organized, up-to-date project files, including Bills of Materials (BOM).
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to gather measurements and verify design accuracy.
