AutoCAD Designer – Wooden & Sheet Metal Fabrication
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Designer with hands-on experience in wooden and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will create accurate 2D and 3D designs, technical drawings, and fabrication plans, ensuring precision and feasibility for production.
Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for wooden and sheet metal components using AutoCAD.
Prepare fabrication-ready drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and assembly instructions.
Collaborate with production engineers, project managers, and clients to understand design requirements.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and material efficiency.
Modify and revise drawings based on feedback from production or clients.
Maintain a library of standard parts, templates, and materials specifications.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety norms, and company guidelines.
Assist in creating Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in AutoCAD for wooden and sheet metal fabrication projects.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
Familiarity with sheet metal design principles (developments, bending allowances, etc.).
Understanding of woodworking design, joints, and assembly techniques.
Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and precision in design.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
