An AutoCAD Designer is responsible for creating accurate 2D/3D technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD software. The role supports engineering, architectural, or manufacturing teams by converting concepts, sketches, and specifications into detailed drawings that comply with industry standards.
Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD
Prepare shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings
Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications
Apply GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances accurately
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers
Ensure drawings comply with industry codes and standards
Maintain drawing revisions and documentation
Perform basic calculations related to design dimensions
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of drawings
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & basic 3D)
Knowledge of technical drafting standards (ISO / ASME)
Understanding of GD&T and dimensioning practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
