An Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other physical structures. The role involves translating client requirements into functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing designs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand project requirements, budgets, timelines, and design preferences.
Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, and 2D/3D drawings.
Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Review and approve materials, finishes, and construction methods.
Oversee project execution, conduct site visits, and monitor progress to ensure design intent is maintained.
Address design changes, technical issues, and site challenges during construction.
Manage project timelines, documentation, and quality control.
Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Professional architectural license (as required by local regulations).
Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Strong design, visualization, and technical skills.
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
