2D/3D Designer

Job Summary

The Design Engineer is responsible for design, development, and validation of engineering systems and components. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, performing design calculations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailing

• Development of 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools

• Preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and material specifications

• Perform design calculations related to strength, load, and safety

• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards (IS and relevant codes)

• Coordination with production, procurement, and site teams

• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation

• Review and implement design modifications based on site feedback

• Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance

• Maintain proper documentation and drawing control

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of mechanical and structural design fundamentals

• Knowledge of materials and fabrication processes

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and coordination abilities
