Role Overview:
The Collection Executive is responsible for recovering outstanding dues from customers through
effective communication, negotiation, and adherence to legal and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Contact & Recovery:
- Contact delinquent account holders via telephone to notify them of overdue payments and
encourage immediate resolution.
2. Negotiation & Settlement:
- Negotiate flexible repayment plans, extensions, or settlement options based on customers’
financial situations, while minimizing company losses.
3. Skip Tracing:
- Trace and locate customers who have changed addresses or contact details using credit bureaus,
public records, and skip-tracing tools.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities, including call logs, payment
agreements, and updates in the CRM or collection software.
5. Customer Support (Inbound):
- Handle inbound queries regarding account status, disputes, and payment options, offering clear
explanations and effective solutions.
6. Compliance & Legal Adherence:
- Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and regulations such as the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and company policies.
7. Performance Management:
- Meet or exceed individual and team recovery targets, including collection rates and daily call
goals.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex cases or initiate legal proceedings when
required.
9. Process Improvement:
- Provide feedback to improve collection procedures and enhance customer satisfaction.
