Role Summary
A Chartered Accountant in Varanasi is responsible for managing financial and accounting functions for businesses, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, preparing financial statements, managing audits, advising on taxation matters, and improving financial systems to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and Indian regulatory requirements.
Maintain books of accounts and statutory records.
Taxation & Statutory Filings
Handle tax planning, compliance, and prepare tax returns (GST, income tax).
Advise on tax-saving strategies and optimize tax liabilities.
Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory submissions.
Auditing & Risk Management
Conduct internal and statutory audits.
Review internal controls and identify areas of financial risk.
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit compliance.
Financial Analysis & Planning
Analyze financial data and prepare management information reports.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide insights to improve financial performance.
Other Duties
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., secretarial, HR compliance).
Oversee accounting software implementation and system improvements.
Mentor and support junior accountants or finance staff.
Required Qualifications
✔ Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
✔ Minimum relevant work experience (varies by employer; often 2–5+ years).
✔ Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws (GST, income tax), accounting standards, and financial reporting.
✔ Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP).
