KRA - Accounts Auditor
1. Examine financial statements to ensure that they are accurate and comply with laws and regulations.
2. Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time.
3. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures.
4. Organize and maintain financial records.
5. Assess financial operations and make best-practices recommendations to management.
6. Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits.
7. Develop audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research.
8. Help design, implement, and maintain internal audit procedures and risk assessment processes.
9. Prepare audit findings, write audit reports, and develop recommendations.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards.
11. Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices.
12. Ensure accuracy of financial information.
13. Collating, checking and analysing spreadsheet data.
14. Examining company accounts and financial control systems.
15. Gauging levels of financial risk within organisations.
16. Checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable.
17. Identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made.
18. Preparing reports, comments and financial statements.
19. Liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations.
