Senior Manager – Accounts

Role Summary
The Senior Manager – Accounts is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and audit functions of the dealership. The role ensures financial discipline, accuracy in reporting, compliance with laws, and effective financial controls across sales, service, and spares operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accurate MIS reports for management (P&L, cash flow, variance analysis).
Monitor dealership profitability and cost controls.
2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconciliation with sales.
Manage TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory filings.
Handle Income Tax assessments, notices, and audits.
Ensure compliance with Honda and government financial norms.
3. Audit & Internal Controls
Coordinate with statutory, internal, and Honda auditors.
Ensure proper internal control systems to prevent revenue leakage and fraud.
Address audit observations and ensure timely closure.
4. Dealer Operations Accounting
Monitor vehicle sales accounting, margins, and incentive claims.
Control service billing, warranty claims, AMC accounting, and spares inventory valuation.
Reconcile OEM incentive claims and ensure timely realization.
Monitor credit notes, debit notes, and dealer receivables.
5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow, fund planning, and working capital.
Oversee banking operations, loan accounts, BGs, LCs, and EMI reconciliations.
Ensure timely vendor and OEM payments.
6. Payroll & HR Coordination
Oversee payroll processing and salary disbursement.
Ensure statutory compliance related to payroll (PF, ESI, PT).
Coordinate with HR on final settlements, incentives, and deductions.
7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead and mentor the accounts team across locations.
Define SOPs for billing, collections, and reconciliations.
Implement process improvements and ERP controls (DMS, Tally, SAP, etc.).
8. Management & OEM Coordination
Act as the key finance interface with Honda and other stakeholders.
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
Ensure adherence to Honda dealership financial guidelines and audit standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of automotive dealership accounting.
Expertise in GST, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and audits.
Proficiency in DMS, Tally, SAP / ERP systems.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and leadership skills.
Strong coordination and communication abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com preferred.
10–15 years of experience in automobile dealership accounts.
Prior experience with Honda / premium two-wheeler dealerships preferred.
