The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Develop and maintain internal financial controls.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare audit schedules and assist external auditors as needed.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero).
