Job Title - Accountant

Department - Accounts & Finance

Location - Jaipur City, Jaipur, Rajasthan - 302021

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, handling courier billing and COD (Cash on Delivery) reconciliations, and supporting audits. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the courier business.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation for all courier transactions.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, especially related to shipments and COD collections.

Prepare financial statements, profit & loss reports, and other accounting reports as required.

Oversee invoicing and billing for domestic and international courier services.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.) and timely filing of returns.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Monitor and manage company expenses, petty cash, and operational costs.

Assist in budget preparation, cost analysis, and financial forecasting.

Coordinate with operations and logistics teams for finance-related matters.

Implement and maintain accounting best practices and internal controls.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CA Inter preferred).

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, courier, or transportation industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and audit processes.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
