Job Title: Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with 1.5–2 years of experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance) and ensure accurate data entry.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, vendor reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.

• Prepare GST returns, TDS filings, and assist in statutory compliance.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account analysis.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, balance sheets, and P&L statements.

• Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and other departments for financial information.

• Manage petty cash, invoicing, and expense tracking.

• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of accounting records in the accounting system (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

• Experience: 1.5 – 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian taxation (GST, TDS).

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP9, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Proficient in MS Excel and Google Sheets.

• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working with startups or SMEs.

• Familiarity with online banking and digital finance tools.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
