Position: Junior Accountant / Accountant
Industry: Restaurant / Hospitality. Location: Goregoan, (Mumbai 400104) Reports To: Senior Accountant/ Director
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the restaurant’s financial transactions on a day-to-day basis, including sales reporting, bank reconciliation, purchase accounting, and vendor payments. The candidate will be required to work closely with the operations team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, especially related to aggregators such as Swiggy and Zomato.
o Prepare and reconcile daily sales reports from POS systems.
o Monitor cash collections, card payments, and UPI receipts.
o Track outstanding payments and follow up on variances.
o Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliation for all accounts.
o Ensure correct mapping of deposits, payments, and transfers.
o Record purchases and maintain stock purchase ledgers.
o Verify invoice accuracy and coordinate with vendors for clarifications.
o Ensure timely payments to suppliers as per agreed terms.
o Reconcile aggregator payouts with system sales.
o Track commissions, taxes, and other deductions.
o Handle disputes or incorrect payout issues with platform partners.
o Maintain and update books of accounts in Tally.
o Ensure proper accounting of expenses, revenues, assets, and liabilities.
o Maintain financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
o Assist with GST and TDS filings, and ensure statutory compliance.
o Coordinate with restaurant operations and management teams.
o Prepare financial reports as needed – weekly, monthly, quarterly.
· Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
· Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the F&B or hospitality sector.
· Proficiency in Tally ERP software.
· Good knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
· Experience handling aggregator platforms (Swiggy, Zomato) is an advantage.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· High attention to detail.
· Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
