Maintain the cabling of critical rooms i.e. DC & IDF
• Ensuring proper cable dressing in DC & IDF rooms
• To ensure each cable should be tagged & properly dressed in cable manager
• Ensuring cable dressing for workstation and DC/IDF rooms
• Cabling engineer should manage and maintain exact inventory for parts, tools,
supplies & timely updated to MetLife SME in case of additional requirement
• Removal of obsolete power and network cables from racks.
• Terminate I/O jacks and distribution frame at workstation & DC/IDF
• Maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure
• RE will be familiar with CCTV Security, TCP/IP Networks, wireless solutions, and
access control running in MetLife environment, however RE scope will be limited
to solving any cabling related issues with this type of equipment’s.
• Cabling engineer will be able to work with a team or independently
• Coordination with IT/network teams for troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Maintain documentation and update Patching and labelling records.
• Will have experience in fiber, including SC and LC Connectors, anaerobic
terminations, and splicing
• Capable of reading and comprehending schematic and line diagrams, and having
their own telecom tools
